Who You Callin’ Old?

Last week I told friends of the ignominy of overhearing a stock clerk in the local drugstore alerting another employee that “There’s a little old lady at the counter!” Little old lady!! I was wounded! I’ll admit to being 5 feet tall and I am certainly a lady, but OLD? Well, what wouldn’t I tell that young whipper-snapper if I weren’t a lady!

But my outrage was topped by Larry’s. It seems he and his wife had gone to help their daughter with her new baby. “They sent me to the store for Pampers,” he told us. “When I told a stock boy I was looking for diapers, he showed me to the Depends!”

Um, Larry wins.

I know exactly how you feel! Since when did 50-somethings become "old"? I thought 50 was the new 40? At least that's what Oprah called it. 🙂 It was great meeting you at the One to One network & SV Moms blogger event recently, hope to see you again.

Ok, that was just too funny! Especially since I think you look very, very young for your age. 🙂
