A Skeptic Proves the Law of Attraction Works

I have had the pleasure of speaking to more and more groups about Making Happy Happen in their lives. And the message has been very well received. I have to give a lot credit to my friend and colleague Deanne DeMarco. As many of you know, I have felt a calling for years as a speaker to encourage people struggling with depression and anxiety. I spend twenty years researching those two illnesses and the many ways that people manage or overcome them. Last May Deanne told me straight out, “You have to get the word ‘depression’ out of your title. People don’t want to hear it.”

I took her advice and began to focus my reading, research and speaking on happiness instead of depression. I looked for connections between happiness and various activities and practices in the United States and in other cultures. I have tried many new activities and learned a lot in the process. I rewrote my marketing materials as well as crafting new speeches.

Something amazing has happened. Speech requests have quadrupled! Not only that, I have found myself happier than ever. Can it be that the Law of Attraction works?  It is sure looks that way. It’s really nothing new. In 1956 Earl Nightingale released a recording titled, The Strangest Secret. In that he said, “You Become What You Think About.”

Have you attracted anything new to your life, purposely or accidentally?

Diane, I don’t think it could be put any better, well said! I believe in the Law of Attraction as stated and believe people are drawn to it as well. An enjoyable read, thank you!

  2. Hello Diane, I completely agree with what you say. I find that the more positive you can be, and the more positive your thinking is, then you notice more positive opportunities in your life. In fact that’s how I met my husband 6 years ago. I made a commitment to a friend that I was going to start dating again and we (my future husband and I) met through a dating service that very night!
